Abstract

Information is becoming an important corporate resource that must be captured, preserved, protected and grown. It involves people, technology, and processes. Creating and using the captured information in an effective way is now necessary for all organizations, regardless of industry sector. Information when processed further helps in knowledge creation which is a central productive and strategic asset for any organization. The success of the organization increasingly depends on its ability to gather, produce, maintain and disseminate information. Proper Storage and Dissemination of Information would be playing a very important role in social knowledge relationships. Academia especially B-Schools are honing the budding managers and trying to pace up with the fast growing world. This paper is an attempt to explore the preparedness and use of technology within the B-Schools and effects of technology on the process improvement. It explores the scenario of initiatives in academics especially in B-Schools and discusses the strategies effective work environment.
