How can we prepare our graduates for the Banking Sector

The banking sector has started recruitment of candidates for clerks & officers on a big scale. It is estimated that 50,000 candidates will be recruited every year in the next five years .The banking sector offers good salary, perks, job security, promotion prospects and pensioners benefits. All graduates are eligible to take these recruitment Exams. The recruitment is through a written test followed by an interview although the aptitude tests are not very difficult, few from Karnataka & even fewer from the Malnad region of Karnataka make the grade. This study is an attempt to find out what is the aptitude & personal qualities required and expected. What are the lacunas in the graduates & why they fail & what remedial steps can be taken to improve their performance & placement in emerging banking employment scenario.
