We are glad to place before our esteemed readers, yet another issue of ‘PRABHANDHAN’.

The trajectory of economic growth of India is suddenly getting intimidated by a host of factors. The strong drivers of growth which hitherto insulated the economy from meltdown and break down seem to be getting bothered by poor governance, high populist subsidies, fiscal deficits, lack of infrastructure inflation etc. Added to this several scams and instances of failure of our world class institutions viz Bureaucracy, Judiciary and police have come to the fore.

Poor first quarterly results in the current fiscal lack of FIIs and absence of healthy cues from the international arena have dampened the bourses as well. Two important developments in the political area namely the re-organizing of the team Manmohan and the decision to re-embark on dis- investments are being keenly watched by the corporate world.

The current issue of Prabhandhan focuses on several important areas of the economy.

We also have an article on Micro finance by Dr. D Raja Jebasingh. Prof Murnal U Joshi has written on the importance of information management in B-Schools. Prof Arifur H Shaikh gives us his perspective and observations on on -line trading. We also have a paper on Ex-dividend day stock price behavior on Indian bourses by Dr.M Ramachandran and his team from Pondicherry University, Pondicherry.

A book review on China-America partnership by Prof Ritu Shinha and comparative study on customer satisfaction in mobile telephony of Aircel and BSNL have also been included in this issue.
